Book Reviews

Hey Tracy, it's Bill Medley
I got your book. I love it but it's a lot of book. You're great and thank you for saying all those sweet things about Their lies, but it's OK How long are good lies. Oh Congratulations I think it's a great book Call me or I will I'll be around...

NAILED IT…
Trace.........You NAILED IT! Wow... I can't image how long it took you to chronicle, really the history of Orange County music. I've only read a few pages and was it hard to put down for me to make an appointment. I've always thought both you and John were two of the most talented people l've ever met in music. Looks like that now extends to writing. You're right, we grew up in a special time and place with some of the greatest musicians and artists in our era right here in Orange County. I was extremely lucky because I had no musical talent and to know all you guys and be a small part what you have done is something l've cherished my whole life. I think only you could have written this book because you actually lived it and not some writer taking notes. I can't wait to start reading as already I see names of people I haven't thought of in years. We're still in close contact with Darlene after all these years but not many of us left. You're the BEST Tracy, always were and always will be.

I just finished reading your book. It was a great read. A lifetime of wonderful memories. Your recall is amazing. Lots of your Santa Anan, CDM and Newport Beach meories bring back so many memories for me. It was great to talk with you at the picnic and now reading your book, learning about your exciting life. You are such a talented musician and artist. Congratulations on this beautiful book. Hope to see you performing at one of your local gigs!

I'm Loving This Book…

By Tracy Longstreth! It's huge, beautifully illustrated and full of backstories that you'll never find elsewhere. It feels like Tracy is sitting in your living room, sharing his adventures.

Made me feel I was right there with you

Again, I have to say how much i enjoyed it! It took me down memory lane with all your gigging places and made me feel I was right there with you in so many lone places. Starting with Disneyland—I worked there in 1969 in Tomorrowland with the bands. So many places in Newport you mentioned—great memories! I have to let you know yours was the first book I've read in awhile!

Behind every great story

Behind every great life story is a strong, brilliant woman like Jadwiga. Congratulations to Tracy and Jad for bringing this powerful history to light. "The Birth of Blue Eyed Soul" is more than music—it's a love letter to a legacy. Beautifully done!
